What a finish!

An exciting night's curling to finish off the Spring League. Either David's rink or Margaret's rink could win the League - Margaret's rink had the better ends / shots results, so David's rink had to achieve a better result than Margaret's to triumph. Just to make it more nail-biting, they were not playing each other! David's rink were playing against Richard's rink, and Margaret's rink were playing against Mike's rink. Going into the eighth ends, it was still anyone's game, with both contenders having a narrow lead. Margaret's rink succeeded by scoring a 2 at the final end, to win the trophy - well done to Margaret, Alison, Jim and Steven. Commiserations to David, Dave, Robin and Sandra

Stranraer Weekend

Fullarton Curling Club descended on the North West Castle Hotel in Stranraer for our Annual Curling Weekend - for some our seventh visit, for others their first! We entered four rinks into the Hotel's weekend competition. We all enjoyed our games, but came against some strong opposition from as far away as Aberdeen, and most results unfortunately did not go out way! However, we had a great time, enjoyed some excellent food, and had fun at the dance and following ceilidh on Saturday night. Provisional booking already made for next year!
