What happens
when…………?
·
I need a
sub
Contact Jim Paxton (jimpaxton958@gmail.com).
He will advise who might be available. You should then contact available subs
to check availability. Players in the non-playing team should only be asked if
none of the pool of subs is available. Let both Jim and your skip know who is
going to sub for you (Skips, let your third know). The sub will then pay the
ice money on the night
·
I cannot
get a sub
Let your skip know that you have exhausted
all possibilities. You will still be responsible for paying the Ice Money for
that game
·
I forget
to turn up for a game (or at short notice am unable to play, no time to get a
sub)
You are still liable for the ice money
·
My sub fails
to turn up
This is between you and your sub. The ice
money is still due, and it is your responsibility to find out who paid it for
you on the night
·
Only
three players have turned up for a game
The game goes ahead, with the first two
players throwing three stones each. Fullarton do not apply a shot penalty to
teams of three
·
Lack of
subs / player means that fewer than three players are available for a match
If this is known in advance, then it is the
responsibility of the skip who is short of players to try to arrange a suitable
alternative date (AGM 2013). If this is not possible (or there is no time to
arrange this), then the match is forfeited, with the winning team awarded 5
ends, and 6 shots (as per RCCC rules)
·
Where in
the team can a sub play?
A sub should play no higher than the team position of the
player they are replacing, unless they are subbing for the skip, when the third
should move up to skip. It is up to the skip to decide order of play (taking this into account). A sub may only skip if both the third and skip are not
playing (AGM 2013)
